This bronze horse sculpture depicts President Ronald Reagan and his beloved wife Nancy riding their horses together. The horse Ron is riding is an Anglo Arabian, El Alamein, who was gifted to President Reagan by the President of Mexico, Lopez Portilla. The horse was one of Reagans favorite riding horses. In spite of his fame from movies as a westerner, Reagan preferred riding an English saddle.
This sculpture was created as a collaboration between Stan Watts, who captured the likeness of the Reagans, and Kim Corpany who sculpted the bronze horses.
